Making a booking

• Your booking is confirmed when you receive our confirmation email. Please check it and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
• The person who makes the booking must be 18 or older and is responsible for the whole booking, including every guest named on it.
• The price, inclusions, payment schedule and cancellation conditions are those of the rate you choose, shown before you pay.
• We may ask to see the card used to pay where we need to verify a payment.

During your stay

• Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 10:00, unless we agree otherwise with you in writing.
• Victoria Haus is a peaceful home. Please respect other guests, our neighbours and the house rules shown in your confirmation and in your room.
• Every adult guest needs a valid ID or passport at check-in. Overnight visitors must be registered guests, and parties or events need our approval in advance.
• You are responsible for damage caused by you or your guests beyond normal wear and tear. We will tell you what we find and give you reasonable evidence and a quote before charging.
• We may end a stay without refund if a guest behaves in a way that puts people or property at risk, or breaks the law on the premises.

Your belongings

Valuables can be kept in our supervised walk-in safe. We are not responsible for loss of or damage to guests' belongings unless it is caused by our negligence.

Using this website

• We work to keep the information on this website accurate. Photographs show the rooms and the house, but furnishings may change slightly over time.
• Links to other websites are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
• The text, photographs and design of this website belong to Victoria Haus or are used with permission. Please do not copy them without asking us.

Electronic communication

You agree that booking confirmations, invoices and notices may be sent to you by email or other electronic means, as allowed by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002.

Law and complaints

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Nothing in them limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.

If something is not right, please tell us while you are with us so that we can put it right. You can also write to us after your stay and we will respond as soon as we can.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you book applies to your booking.
