Victoria Haus is an intimate boutique guest house in a heritage home in Kenilworth, in Cape Town’s green southern suburbs.
Tall sash windows, pressed ceilings, brass chandeliers and mahogany four-posters. A garden and a pool beneath old trees. And a small team who look after you personally.
Ebrahim Behardien and his wife, Cleopatra, run the house day to day.
Victorian character, kept with care.
The house keeps its Victorian and Edwardian character: a turret, deep verandas, a tiled hall and a stained-glass window over the stairs.
Outside there is a lawn, a fountain and a pool, with the mountain rising beyond the garden wall.

Warm and refined, our Classic Queen rooms are created around ease. Everything has a purpose. Nothing competes for your attention.

Every room is individually furnished, so rooms of the same type differ in layout and outlook. The photographs show one room of each type. Two further Deluxe Queen suites open once their upgrades are complete.

Arriving late? Let us know in advance and we’ll be ready for you. Early check-in and late check-out are on request.
- Every adult guest needs a valid ID or passport at check-in.
- Parties and events need our approval in advance.
- Overnight visitors must be registered guests.
- Children under 3 stay free, with a complimentary camp cot. Children aged 3 and older pay the third-person rate.
- Valuables can be kept in our supervised walk-in safe.
